Candidates must have a minimum of one year of work experience in the previous six years to be eligible for this stream.

Physicians Stream
Physicians are also in great demand in Nova Scotia, which has two streams devoted to assisting physicians in working in Canada. The Physicians stream is committed to assisting public health authorities (Nova Scotia Health Authority – NSHA) and the Izaak Walton Killam Health Centre (IWK) in meeting the present physician shortage. This comprises general practitioners, family doctors, and specialists.
Labour Market Priorities for Physicians Stream
This stream is for doctors who wish to work in Canada and use the Express Entry system to apply. You must have an authorised offer from the Nova Scotia Health Authorized or IWK Health Centre, as well as a letter of interest or provincial nomination from the government, to be eligible for this stream.
